Disturbance

This is video of a butterfly in its environment that is being affected by all the commotion that goes on around him. In the beginning the butterfly seems to be at peace but as the commotion keeps building the butterfly gets agitated and flies away to find a peaceful place.

The Butterfly Life

his is a video of a butterfly in its environment with some nature sounds and some human made sounds. When I was down in the woods near the lake, I was lucky enough to capture some amazing footage of a butterfly. I thought It was very rare to see a butterfly at this time of year especially with the cold that still hasn't lifted. I captured some great close ups of the butterfly and even a little bit of it while it was in flight. The purpose of this video is to get into the life of a butterfly. The video shows the butterfly from the outside and then from the inside as if you are the butterfly itself. The sounds in this video are a combination of nature sounds and human made sounds. You will hear some birds chirping, some leaves rustling and music playing. All of these sounds were not captured near the woods, which I believe makes it more interesting. At one point you will see the butterfly lift off and you begin to hear music playing, this combination of video and sound was done to show the fun playful life of a butterfly. In a way it's as if the butterfly is dancing to the music while it's in flight. I hope you enjoy this footage.

Silence of Nature

Here is a video of both still imagery and video footage, which captures the beauty of Nature. The video contains a lot of pictures of wild life such as flowers, plants, trees, water, and animals. I combined the still imagery and the video so that it alternated and had a sensible flow.

Walk Strategy

For my Drift 2 walk, I plan to start on the corner of Frederick and Park and head South. My strategy is to wander freely and to take the directions I believe will provide promising and yet unexpected results. However I do plan to stay within the same area as my previous Drift 1 walk but I will be walking the outer boundary of my first walk. I will generate still imagery and video of only nature through focusing on specific objects and also by standing in one place and randomly taking snapshots and video footage.
